Tajnihar Begum is a prominent human rights activist. In Bangladesh, she has involved herself in the movement to protect the human rights of victims of torture, especially women and children. He is currently the vice-chairman of human rights organization FAIR.

Tajnihar Begum has been serving as the General Secretary of Uttaran Mahila Sansthan, a non-organization organization since 1985. He also works with various social and cultural organizations. He is one of the trustees of CDL Trust, a community-based library. He is a member of Trideshio People’s Forum, Sushasoner Jonno Nagorik. He works as the ambassador of Hangar Projectors in the Kushtia region.
