In an outstanding demonstration of Science Club Achievements, the Nils Bore Science Club of Harinarayanpur Secondary Girls’ School clinched first place at the 46th National Science and Technology Week and the 9th National Science Olympiad 2025. This success highlights the tremendous impact of the Promoting Science Education Projects promoted under the FAIR, which has been transforming science education in Kushtia since 2019.

The event, held on May 24-25, 2025, at Kushtia Zilla School Auditorium, attracted the attention of prominent guests, including Md. Toufiqur Rahman, the District Commissioner of Kushtia, and Munshi Kamruluzzaman, the Acting District Education Officer.

Innovative Project: “An Ideal Road”

The Science Club Projects presented by Nils Bore Science Club were evaluated during the Junior Group Science Project Presentation Competition. Their project, “An Ideal Road,” stood out for its ingenuity, creativity, and problem-solving approach. The team, led by Jerine Jahan and supported by Rittika, Raisa, Maisa, and Zara, earned widespread praise for the quality and impact of their work.

A total of 20 educational institutions from Kushtia participated, with two schools from the FAIR-PSE project, including Harinarayanpur Girls’ School, contributing to the competition. Science Club Participation from schools like these reflects the commitment of FAIR in nurturing creativity and scientific thinking.

Since its launch in 2019, FAIR, with support from the Bangladesh Freedom Foundation (BFF), has established science clubs in 30 secondary schools across Kushtia Sadar Upazila. These clubs are instrumental in facilitating Science Club Exhibitions and Science Club Festivals, which inspire creativity and drive innovation among students, promoting a culture of scientific exploration.
