Empowering Lives in Kushtia: FAIR’s Donation for Poor People Initiative Gives Fazlu Molla New Hope
Donation for poor people is not just about temporary relief; it is about creating a sustainable foundation for a dignified life. On Monday, May 4, 2026, the Friends Association for Integrated Revolution (FAIR), a prominent voluntary organization in Kushtia, set a remarkable example of humanitarian service. Under their “FAIR Self-Reliance Initiative Program,” a rickshaw was handed over to Fazlu Molla, a resident of Jagati No. 2 Colony, marking a significant step toward his economic freedom.
This life-changing gift was made possible through the Zakat and special funds allocated from FAIR’s donation for poor people fund. The organization believes that targeted help poor people can break the cycle of poverty, allowing them to transition from dependency to self-reliance. For Fazlu Molla, this rickshaw represents more than just a vehicle; it is a gateway to food security and a better future for his family.
The handover ceremony was attended by the top leadership of FAIR, who have long been recognized as people who help us in times of social need. Among the attendees were Md. Nazrul Islam, Chief Advisor of FAIR; Advocate Manjuri Begum, former Chairman and distinguished lawyer; Tajnihar Begum, Vice-Chairman; and Dewan Akhteruzzaman, Director of the organization. Fazlu’s mother, Mst. Ramesha Khatun, was also present and expressed her profound gratitude, visibly moved by the prospect of her son finally having a permanent source of income.
Speaking on the occasion, FAIR Director Dewan Akhteruzzaman emphasized that programs involving poor people helping must be structured and long-term to be truly effective. He stated that this initiative is part of a larger, visionary 5-year plan aimed at making 1,000 individuals self-reliant. By focusing on marginalized communities, the organization ensures that their efforts reach those who need it most, providing them with the means to afford healthcare and quality education.
To maintain transparency and ensure the success of this mission, FAIR has established a rigorous monitoring system. Regular field reports and strict supervision are mandatory for every project under this initiative. This ensures that every donation for poor people is utilized effectively, transforming lives and fostering a sense of pride within the community. As FAIR continues its mission to help poor people, they serve as an inspiring model for sustainable social development in Bangladesh.
