Iftar Distribution for Poor People Continues for Second Day.
The Iftar distribution for poor people continues amid Ramadan, with 79 people receiving aid today due to limited resources. On the second day of the month-long Iftar distribution for poor people, a joint initiative of the non-governmental organization Fair, a rights-based snd Development organization, Oitijya Parishad, Kushtia, and Durjog Protirodhe Samajik Uddog, Kushtia, Iftar meals were distributed among the affected, unemployed, distressed, and helpless individuals impacted by the coronavirus pandemic on April 15, 2021.
The beneficiaries of this program include daily wage workers, rickshaw pullers, small traders, and other individuals whose livelihoods have been severely disrupted by the pandemic. Many of them are struggling to provide even basic necessities for their families. Among the recipients are elderly individuals who have lost their source of income and families with young children who are facing significant hardship. The program also supports police officers working on the front lines during the lockdown, who have been unable to break their fast at home.
The Iftar boxes contained chola ghugni, vegetable chops, dauler bara, dates, muri, jilapi, bananas, carrots, and cucumbers. Volunteers Apu Hossain, Md. Arafat, Nafeez, Robin Kumar, and Kaushik Ahmed worked tirelessly to deliver these Iftar packages directly to each person. The entire program is overseen by Dewan Akhtaruzzaman, Director of FAIR.
Our well-wishers, friends, and members of both organizations have generously contributed to this noble cause, enabling the continuation of the Iftar distribution for poor people.
Today, 79 Iftar packets were provided to 79 unemployed, distressed, and helpless individuals, including those facing severe economic difficulties. With more support, we hope to increase this number in the coming days, Inshallah. Each Iftar packet costs an average of 40 Taka. You can also contribute to this noble cause and be a part of the Iftar distribution for poor people initiative.
